PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
More Exciting News on Facilities
As I mentioned the week before last, we are all systems go on upgrading our oval and tiered grass area in front of the flag poles. We are incredibly grateful to a wonderful family who has offered to support us in utilising their heavy machinery and labour to reduce the schoolโs costs. As a government school that skimps and saves and works hard to ensure our children are getting the best education and facilities, this is a wonderful gift. Please, if you are able, we are still accepting donations into our โBuildings and Groundsโ fund, which is tax deductible. Get in before the end of the financial year to help support our important and up and coming projects.
ย
We are also in the final stages of our โInclusive Schools Playgroundโ project. Below is a sneak peak of our up coming work that will be positioned at the top end of the block.

Principal Certificate of Excellence
This year when I finalise reports, all the children that have been awarded an โEXCELLENTโ for behaviour and effort in every class, including specialists, will have a certificate uploaded to Compass. Please make sure you check your childโs dashboard, as there is no alert when I put a comment into the student chronicle.
Student Reports – Compass
Individual Education Plans (for applicable students) are already available and uploaded to Compass. Student Reports will be uploaded to Compass on Monday 24th June at 3.30pm. The teachers and the children are putting the finishing touches which will provide a wealth of information about your childโs learning.
Outstanding Term Expenses
The office is working to finalise end of term accounts. We would appreciate if you could please check Compass and make payment for any outstanding term expenses, including Curriculum Consumable Items and any Optional Education Items. If you are having difficulty making payment, please do not hesitate to contact Ros in the office to arrange a payment plan.
Early Dismissal on the Last Day of Term
Term Two ends Friday 28th June. The children will have lunch as normal at 1:30pm and will return to their classroom to be dismissed at 2:30pm.

WELLBEING
Grade Three Four SEW - 3/4G

In SEW, Grade 3/4 students have been learning about what it means to have boundaries and respect the boundaries of others. First, students read a picture book about boundaries and consent. Next, students were given scenarios, where they had to move to opposite sides of the room to indicate whether they agreed or disagreed. This prompted lots of discussion about what boundaries look like! Then, students worked in small groups to role play scenarios relevant to our cohort, identifying ways in which we could respect the boundaries of one another. Students reflected on their understanding, by defining what the words boundaries and consent meant to them.

IMPORTANT โ Mobile Phone/Watch/Device Policy
In 2020, DET introduced strict restrictions on the use of any device with access to a cellular system, with or without a physical connection to a network. Where students bring a device of this type to school, it MUST be placed in secure storage at the office.
IMPORTANT โ Student Information
It is very important we have up-to-date information for all students. Please check Compass and update current home & email addresses, phone numbers & medical details.

Wet Weather
We would like to request parents/guardians of students to pack a set of spare uniform items in their childโs bag, including a waterproof bag. We have limited spare uniform at the office. If your child has recently needed to borrow items from our sick bay, please wash and return them to the office as soon as possible.
Thanks Administration Team
