We are excited to begin planning our much-enjoyed tradition of designing, building and racing Box Cars. This Christmas event will be held at LB Davern and this is an early warning that itโs coming and to start getting your family creativity and design hats on. Just some pictures to get you inspired ๐

Out Of School Hours Care
We are proud to partner with TheirCare and love their openness to feedback and improvement. The program services the children in the school fromย 7:00amย in the morning untilย 8:45amย and operates fromย 3:30pmย each day untilย 6:00pm. Families wishing to use this service can visit the TheirCare website:ย http://theircare.com.au/. Families are also eligible for a government rebate which reduces the cost per session. Further information can also be obtained by contactingย TheirCare on 1300ย 072 410.
TheirCareย provides a stimulating and safe environment for all children and an environment where children enjoy their time in their program. During sessions children developย life skills,ย friendships,ย confidence,ย andย creativityย through play.
Please remember to book in for the upcoming holiday program.
Time Online REMINDER
Managing the challenges of setting and maintaining rules and expectations around computers, tablets and mobile phones is hard work. The E-Safety Commissioner (esafety.gov.au) has a range of great advice and guidance regarding all things cyber. It is absolutely normal for families to be struggling with their children/s online/computer time at home and we often get asked about ways to develop their own family structures and expectations. We must all acknowledge that each and every family have varying expectations, and this is not a one-system-fits-all solution.
ย
The following is taken from the E-Safety website. Set boundaries for digital device use in yourย home. Device-free zones and times can help you manage screen time. For example, your family plan could include rules like this:
ย
- no devices in the bedroom for younger children
- all screens off in bedrooms after a certain time for older children
- all screens off at least one hour before planned bedtime
- all family members switch off at dinner time
- devices charged overnight in a place your child cannot access
End of Term Three โ Mrs Beer Farewell Assembly
Just a quick reminder that next week is the last week of Term Three. We will be having a special assembly from 9am for Mrs Beer. We will have Kouta Koffee and TheirCare supplying morning snacks, so please join us to celebrate the educational career of Mrs Beer. The children will have their normal recess and lunch breaks and will be dismissed at 2:30pm from their classrooms.
Have an amazing break and take some time out. Rest, relax and do something fun. We are ready for a big Term Four. School will resume Week One Term Four on MONDAY 7TH October.
WELLBEING
S.E.W IN FS
In Foundation S, we have been learning about a variety of things to support our Social, Emotional and Wellbeing.
Our favourite topic we have learnt about is โR U OK DAY?โ
We have been learning about the importance of helping our friends, classmates and family, by having conversations and asking
R U OK?
In Foundation S, we have listened to stories and songs about โR U OK DAY?โ The students also created pictures of someone who is ok and someone who is not ok. ย
OFFICE NOTICES
Office Hours : - 8:30am until 3:55pm
Picking Up Children โ Please help our admin team!
In exceptional circumstances and emergencies, at times children need to be collected from school early. Please help our wonderful administration team by ensuring that this is not done during the break times of 11:00-11:30am and 1:45-2:30pm. When children are outside playing with their friends, they do not hear the announcements and it is difficult to have a staff member unlock classrooms to collect bags and belongings. Please help support our classroom programs by waiting until 3:30pm to collect children. The admin area is growing quite hectic in the afternoons with families collecting children early Thank you in advance for your support and understanding.
IMPORTANT โ Mobile Phone/Watch/Device Policy
In 2020, DET introduced strict restrictions on the use of any device with access to a cellular system, with or without a physical connection to a network. Where students bring a device of this type to school, it MUST be placed in secure storage at the office.
IMPORTANT โ Student Information
It is very important we have up-to-date information for all students. Please check Compass and update current home & email address, phone numbers & medical details.
Wet Weather
We would like to request parents/guardians of students to pack a set of spare uniform items in their childโs bag, including a waterproof bag. We have limited spare uniform at the office. If your child has recently needed to borrow items from our sick bay, please wash and return them to the office as soon as possible.
Thanks Administration Team
UNIFORM
IMPORTANT
**Please remember to put your child’s full name on their uniform. Please don’t use initials, as this makes it harder for us to find the owner.
If you order a bag, the order can be placed in your child’s or siblings’ tub for convenience. If not, you will need to supply a bag or make arrangements to collect your order.
