Road Safety

Dear Parents & Carers,

Due to the current Capital Works projects please carefully read through the below information on the changes to traffic and access to our school:

Rail Street Pedestrian Crossing

A friendly reminder to all families and students to please use the NEW Rail Street Pedestrian Crossing when travelling to and from school. Using the crossing helps ensure everyone can arrive safely and allows drivers to clearly see pedestrians crossing the road.
Thank you for supporting the safety of our school community.

Parking

Please be aware that our bus stop has been relocated back to Rail Street Street.

Parking is also available at the Church Car Park or L.B Davern (a short walk to the school).

Church Carpark – Safety and Community Expectations

Please be mindful that the Church Carpark is a shared community space that is not supervised by school staff. To support the safety of all users, the following expectations apply:

Reverse parking only, to support child safety and visibility
Drive at a walking pace at all times
Children must not walk through the carpark without an adult; hand-holding is strongly encouraged for younger children to reduce risk around moving vehicles
Be respectful of the shared nature of the space and other community users
Where possible, arrive early for drop-off and pick-up to support a calm, orderly, and safe environment for everyone

Kiss and Drop

Kiss and Drop will be available along Rail Street with access via the gate.

Access

You will have access through gates along Rail Street as of Term 2 onwards.

TheirCare (OHSC) can be accessed through the gate located on Rail Street.

Administration Building can be accessed through the gate located on Affleck Street.

Reminder that when possible, we encourage students to walk or ride to school to help us reduce traffic around the area.

Council have advised that they will be monitoring the area around our school closely, so please make sure you are abiding by the changed traffic and parking conditions and read all signage when parking around the school.

We would like to inform you that, at this time, the school no longer has music teachers available. As a result, music classes will be paused until further notice.

We understand the value of music education and are actively exploring options to resume the program in the future. We will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.
